New Idea!
Took my son and his mates to Burnley on Sunday to watch England v Holland under-20s and saw something which I thought might be worth a try at The Interlink!
To whip the crowd up before the game they have a guy who comes on the pitch and builds up the atmoshere prior to Kick-off ( The kids love it!)
I noticed they use it at Stevenage to good effect.
Obviously, It is not a job that everyone could do, ( The guy from Burnley does the Buy One -Get one free ads from T.V) but I am sure there could be a candidate. A certain person has been doing this at the front of the supporters coach and behind the goal for years! - Answers on a Postcard!

I was with you, right up to the point where I read that line.

Re: New Idea!
Before we can do that, I think we need a few large, burly individuals to whip the crowd up Whalley Road to the IES! Cats'o'nine tails would probably do the trick.

Re: New Idea!
With the Ultras growing in size by the match I don't think the crowd noise is a problem, the team winning is the only way to create more atmosphere.

Re: New Idea!
So much for ideas- sarcastic comments and apathy seem to be the order of the day in Accy. Perhaps that is the reason why we became the first club to go bust in the 1960's.

Come on Darren what is your problem? If you read the thread I started titled "Ultras", you would have seen what I was talking about, I stand by my comments that most Stanley fans don't need your idea and that the team winning is what most require but keep posting any more new ideas you have.

Re: New Idea!
Darren, lighten up, lad! If you want my serious opinion, I don't like the idea - far too false and phoney for Stanley fans. The Dingles may need it, but they don't have the Ultras!
However, that's just my opinion and, as Bagpuss says, keep the ideas coming!

Thats a bit extreme mate.........
You asked & people replied, its a forum. I also think that it just wouldn't work as with the changing ends thing, we aren't all on the terrace (which is something i hate) at the time the guy would be speaking. Most are waiting for the "toss" ....
Nice idea though & keep em coming!

Off thread I know, but will the Ultras stay in the Clayton End all the time when we get the roof? I hope so, and it'll be better acoustically as well.

Well I'll be there with you mate, just so I don't have to wear the stupid hat I've had to buy to keep the rain off.

Re: New Idea!
Sssshhh don't mention THE hat!!!! I would also stay under the clayton end roof. As for a warm up person, there's not enough people in the ground until literally kick off so I don't think it would work.
