If you as a manager or club really want a player especially as the club he,s at in this case Morecambe who would probably be offering similar money but maybe less years you go for it, also if he is a raging success and clubs want him as with any player you make a profit especially on the level of money we will be paying. Every signing as a element of risk even the top managers make bad signings, you could break our wage structure and pay 3 times has much on 1 year deals but successful or not there wouldn't be the prospect of a profit.

Re: New Signing
It's also got to be balanced against the deals the existing players have.
It shouldn't be the case that you leave to come back on a better deal.
If it comes off great but I've got to be honest and say the player hasn't shown anything to convince he's a league one player who's going to take us to the next level.

That's why I mentioned wages structure and breaking it which won't happen, I was surprised at the signing but John obviously wants him and like I said previously he will have matured now his football brain probably hopefully improved no doubt about his talent.

could say the same about the non league players we have signed during the years including sean and windass. none of them were players we expected to sign and coley has been vindicated with these signings.

Yeah, I have to sgree with you 28. Not my choice of signing. Maybe if we can keep him fit and off the treatment table. Doubt he's as durable as Sean. Still we won't find out until next season.

Correct monkey hanger Kayden Jackson was going nowhere till John and Jimmy got a hold of him, Seamus Conneelly didn't cut it at Sheffield United but John saw something in him at Sligo and he,s now club captain let's get behind the lad and hope he,s a success, I could go on and on about players that have improved at Stanley moved on and been either indifferent or a success.

He,s never left both times here he was on loan, there,s a few ex players I'd like back but most of those will already be on better deals now, rumours circulating are that Conner Ripley in his last year of his deal at Preston is looking for game time wouldn't be bad as a loan option .

Re: New Signing
Carve it up however you want but he played thirty odd times over two spells so either he refused to come back or we didn't bother asking him to.
All about opinions but personally I cant see him cutting it at top half league one.

Your right it's about opinions I was myself a bit surprised but Jonn and his team,s opinion is obviously different that's what counts and what they get paid for, he,s a fully fledged Stanley member now and he needs to be supported and hopefully he,ll prove any doubters wrong.

Re: New Signing
[QUOTE=VALAIRIAN;1254723]Agree Andy and as a player, he will get my support
I do not think he will be the player he was on that day away at Plymouth and the subsequent weeks!!
I hope I am really, really wrong though
The first loan spell when he came along with Sean Maguire he was good second time not as effective, same as Janoi Doniecian in his 2 seasons with us he was a stand out player, came back on loan into a side that was low on confidence and playing poorly he seemed not the same player, not to say he couldn't come back into the current much better squad and be terrific again.
