Re: new stadium ideas

I think the Beano would have higher journalistic standards than to offer him a job.

Re: new stadium ideas

What has Rotherham Council got that Hyndburn hasn't, I wonder?
BBC News - Rotherham FC lent £5m by council for football stadium
Other than £5million and some spare land.

Maybe they haven't been asked yet

From what we know on here as to the idea behind anew stadium for Stanley, it sounds like a similar idea;

Quote:
The terms of the agreement mean that there will be no cost to Rotherham's council taxpayers, but our residents, schools, businesses and voluntary and community groups will reap the benefits for years to come - by using the facilities or by the stadium generating more town centre visitors on match days."

Re: new stadium ideas

depends what the agreement is. Darlington had some contribution to their ridiculous stadium via the council, but the trade-off was that the Council benefitted from a percentage of the daily revenue. There was a similar deal at Doncaster with their £32m stadium
