Re: New Striker!

Have we paid money for this lad as he was under contract at Afc Wimbledon scoring ratio in past about a goal every 2 games pretty impressive at any level.

Re: New Striker!

was a good un at Aldershot until bad knee injury forced him to miss a lot of games. I'll reserve judgement but the lad had pedigree.

Re: New Striker!

D'Sane was released by the Shots in May 2005 following his failure to recover from persistent knee injuries. quote from the bbc website lets hope he has fully recovered.

Re: New Striker!

Well I'll reserve judgement too, but I am quite optimistic.

He went to AFC Wimbledon to get his fitness back and scored 21 goals last season. Seems to have a good bit of fight in him.

Can play on the right side of midfield aswell I think.

Well done Coley.

Re: New Striker!

this is the guy that torquay were trying to sign see text below:

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=629 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD colSpan=3>Torquay aim to bag striker D'Sane

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top width=416><!-- S BO --><!-- S SF -->Conference side Torquay United are interested in signing AFC Wimbledon striker Roscoe D'Sane.
The 26-year-old former Aldershot player scored 21 goals last season and is weighing up his options after also being offered a new deal by Wimbledon. D'Sane was released by the Shots in May 2005 following his failure to recover from persistent knee injuries. The ex-Southend man was Aldershot's top scorer in 2003/04, with his 21 goals helping them reach the play-off final. <!-- E SF -->
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

sounds good to me but when are we gunna sign some defenders!

Re: New Striker!

Looks like Coley's unearthed another Gem! Looking at his scoring record highly impressive hope he can make the step up but with a good pre season behind him don't see why not! Only thing that worries me is the amount of one year contracts we seem to be handing out okay letting people who are perhaps squad members leave for nowt but as the Todd situation proved you can also lose your better players for the same token. A couple of good defenders and I think we have the nucleus of a fine squad Roll on Next Season

Re: New Striker!

Dsane was outstanding a few years ago. Fast and lethal. If he's refound that kind of form following a very nasty injury, then we've signed a real gem!

Welcome Roscoe. Show us what you've got!

Re: New Striker!

Like all new signings,I'll reserve judgement but seems like a good signing to me even if he is a southern shandy boy . When I first read it I couldn't believe that he would move up here but then how could he resist, chance to play league 2 footy and now we can also offer him accomodation living in a pub!

Re: New Striker!

Hi an Afc Wimbledon fan here who also knows a director at Aldershot. Roscoe is a great signing for you guys. He was on course for league football after impressing at Aldershot before he got a bad knee injury. He returned to full fitness this year managing a full season with an impressive 21 league goals. The striker was clearly a cut above most others in our league and you got him on a free as his contract ran out in the summer. It is a slight gamble as he has had injury history (didnt see any last season though) and he has only performed up to conference level and that was 3 years ago but a free transfer is surely a gamble worth taking.

Re: New Striker!

Aldershot stuck with him for a year while injured to try and keep him. When he made his comeback for the reserves about 3,000 Aldershot fans travelled to watch the game. Aldershot would have him back now and they had faith in him for wuite a while even while injured.
