I think you might find it's quite the opposite Macca, the more the clubs provide better squad, facilities etc the more they squeeze the money out of you

i agree with you thats why they made stadia allseater after the taylor report nothing to do with safety just to squeeze money out of you by charging more for having a seat... ![Banane08](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/bananas/Banane08.gif)

Re: New Strip For Next Season
Well if I recall right ,my Stanley shirt was approx $120 plus postage. My eldest son preferred a Chelsea shirt @ $90.Had Stanleys been at the same price,I would've got him one.(Sometimes you just have to give these kids guidence).I realise the volumes that Chelsea sell would reduce production costs, but its all about getting the 'face' out and about. A $ 30 difference seams excessive.

NZ wine is dearer than French! I'd go for quality over quantity anytime. I do agree they are a tad expensive though.

Sorry mate, but having been to the ground recently, the groundsman hopping mad! Apparently all they have done is patch up the bare parts of the pitch and that does not cost six figures. Whinney Hill Stand just the same, would have thought work would have started if they were supposed to spend half a mill and roo (oh yea where is the 'f').
I reckon they are spending it on the Crown after winning the lease. ![Confused](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)

Re: New Strip For Next Season
the new stand will have to begin work this season to be done in time for May 2009, so I would have expected to have seen artists impressions at the very least by now.
the pitch, no wonder he's mad. It was put around that six figures were to be spent but evidently not.
the roof, sick of it now. Umbrellas are on sale.
TBH, the lack of information about things that we deem important is very disheartening, the wrong information fed to the media is disillusioning. I still say that this season is gonna be pivotal in shaping the whole future of ASFC, it's OSC, and the ground plans. I just would have expected it to be happening by now in some way shape or form.
The dwindling fan base has to start growing back and developing in the next 18 months, and this can only be done by way of positive vibes constantly coming from the FES. We need to start seeing plans, we need to start seeing starting dates pencilled in and adhered to. The squad seems to be coming along magnificently, and the Crown acquisition is a positive one, I think the OSC is starting to take shape. We just need the Google Page Ranking department to start pulling with us.
It is still gonna be a successful season in many ways.

Re: New Strip For Next Season
I agree with most things Macca has said the fan base is beginning to show signs of recovery, although what slightly disheartened me on the float round Accrington on Saturday was the lack of townsfolk wearing the Red & White I know there is so called missed generations but I do not live in Accrington and I only started going on last season but what struck me straight away was the style of football that Stanley play, the enthusiasm of the players, the passion of the Stanley supporters it is fantasic and something to be really proud of one game and I was bitten by the Stanley bug. I have now somewhere I can take my lads meet up with friends have a few beers and watch Stanley how much better can it get? So come on townsfolk of Accrington get behind the club try it you never know you might just like what you see! ![Smilie](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif) ![Smilie](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
