Re: Next Match Poster

the posters are available form the officail site for all home games the appear on the fixtures page..but as we have no home games left there are no more for this year! so dont really think there is a need for you to make another set KSH....but good idea and keep an eye out for them next season

Re: Next Match Poster

Why do I get the feeling no one believes me?

Posters for the next home game have been available from the official website... Either on the fixture list or from the opposition club information section... Clear as day a link saying POSTER... I dont know how confusing that was..

The reason you can't see them now is because as mister timmins quite rightly points out.. there no home games left.

These posters where automatically generated.. using the info from the database and the club logo... the link only appeared for home games and quite rightly dissapeared after the game had been played.. all this from a script I wrote.

Just because you can't see them now doesn't mean they never existed

OK SO....As its all computer generated then it has its limitations... graphics, extra info and pow! if KSH wants to provide posters for each match next season and they contain more than logo and standard info.. if they have that little bit more as I suspect they will then get in touch with the man that counts... ie me I wil sort out your own upload and editor system for the official website so you can have full control of that... I will kill off the magic script and the advert for the poster will point to your uploaded file.

If ya want to join our merry band of website workers ... Get in touch and show me an example poster

Talking Re: Next Match Poster

I dont think it was a case of no one believing you matey - its just ironic that someone asked this question after the last home game when theyve been there all season isnt it!! The law of the sod I believe!

PS. Do you want maps doing for the new teams for next season mate? If so, are they going to be used this time? I did some at the beginning of this season for the teams that came down and up into the Conference but they never materialised... eg. Kidderminster, Altrincham et al... oh unless my ad blocker is not showing them ... but I can see others so I think Im right

Re: Next Match Poster

There was loads of messing wiht the maps...resize and get into 420 pixels wide and still readable...

if you can make sure they are 420 pixels wide.... dont look obviouse like they have been lifted from a certain proggy (colourize them or summat)... and all still readable then I will deffo use

Re: Next Match Poster

I would be happy to do some posters weekly if the person who started the thread does not wish to do it

Re: Next Match Poster

I have now sorted this out with Kipax and am currently working on a template for it, any views about what should be on it?
I dont want to miss anything but there again I dont want it cluttered or too graphic heavy.
I am hoping to have a different picture on every weeks poster (As long as Kipax lets me use them ) but for the time being it will be one from this season so that means the 1st one or two won't show the new kit

Re: Next Match Poster

just remember people still have to think about how much ink they are using printing these posters so therefore a picture may take up a fair bit of ink???

Re: Next Match Poster

Here is the template for the new poster for home games, hoping to change the picture every game but as you can see I will have to choose the right pics as I dont want it to end up too graphic heavy.
I am working on one for away games but have to get a few permissions and details yet.
It should be available for download for every game next season from a link on the fishy site.

Re: Next Match Poster

Just make sure you change the 'were back' to we're back and the 'its' to it's.

Otherwise it's a great idea.
