Re: Next season??
If people can sit on a beach for a few hours and social distance, I hope that people will be allowed into a football stadium following same procedures .

Social distancing is quite the norm at somewhere like Morecambe FC but seriously at football stadiums logistical nightmare me thinks.

How many season ticket holders do we have ?
Also will need to make provision for away supporters ?
As I said earlier I think season start will be end of September by which time I think we'll be ok to attend.

Ha Ha No not at all
No, it was a reference to all the u-turns Boris and his lackeys have made the latest being today over schools.

Re: Next season??
This will appall Andyd Josh but you just watch certain clubs now try to steal a march on the market. The player market will be volatile.

Why will it appall me I love an active transfer market some clubs will gamble either with a willing sugar daddies money or with money they haven't got up to them but I,m sure Stanley will be as sensible in the market as always.

Re: Next season??
[QUOTE=StanleyJosh;
So going back to next season not starting until January, how do we pay players until then?[/QUOTE]
who actually mentioned this january start in the first place. unless i,m wrong it was some club chairman in the first place. no one looked at the consequences of this. it was right in the middle of the project fear situation anyway. we need to be positive for the season to start with full crowds. i,d go a bit earlier than 28. i,d be looking for early september.

Re: Next season??
Could always open up the Wham for political rallies at the Wham every fortnight when there’s a home game on? No need for social distancing, scarves as face masks...just need to find a suitable statue as a focus. Could one of Bob Lord be erected on the Clayton End in time for next season....?

Re: Next season??
I have it on good authority that there won't be ANY supporters allowed in to a ground until January 21.....
I fail to see how ANY club below the Championship can start their season behind closed doors. ?

Hey, Smudgie, don’t what world you’re living in but the one I seem to inhabit doesn’t have anyone in authority.

Discussions are already happening with FSA regarding how many people clubs can get into grounds social distancing. Clubs want fans back. Government want fans back.
For what it's worth, people within football I've spoke too - September is the target.

By September with no increase in infections we should hopefully be able to scrap social distancing we will have to eventually or society,s normal will never return, to me football and sport in general along with hospitality and the tourism sector should be pushing hard for this. Selective crowds at any sports venues will bring problems example Sunderland 30,000 average how do you pick who goes to a game and how do you stop crowds gatherings outside if a selected amount are inside.

Re: Next season??
Apparently Dan Jewell spoke to John Coleman yesterday any new recruits will be last minute and not before any definite start date for next season this could alarm Twenty Eight.
