next seasons new team (up)
Luton town are up.
Up to 6 teams can still make the playoff places, would like to see Cambridge back in the league.
Halifax would be handy.

Re: next seasons new team (up)
3 or 4 northern teams look likely to be departing our league, and Stevenage and Luton are likely to be joining, so I hope for 3 northern teams to come from League 1, and 1 northern team to come up from the conference. I'm not bothered who, just being practical.

Defo Grimsby! Always a good day out in Cleethorpes - fish & chips on the front and a few beers in Willie's Bar!

Re: next seasons new team (up)
As a strong believer that League 1 & 2 should revert back to North & South, might be obvious where my choices would be

Re: next seasons new team (up)
Agree Halifax or Grimsby for me too.
Looks like the morons at Satanage will be back, along with probably Shrewsbury, which I cant say I will be rushing too.
Crewe would be handy for me, cracking chippy and half decent day out, though probably would be a Tuesday night game.
Carlisle and Tranmere, both fairly local but not exactly a Torquay away are they

Re: next seasons new team (up)
From a purely selfish point of view I'd like Gateshead to get the second promotion spot as it's the easiest of them for me to get to.

Re: next seasons new team (up)
Gateshead are the form side; Cambridge lost their last five .....
No disrespect to Cambridge, but massive nostalgia value to people of my age to have Gateshead back in the League

Interesting piece from the BBC a few weeks ago
BBC Sport - Gary Mills: Gateshead chairman lauds manager's impact
The last few paragraphs look familiar
Quote:
But with Premier League Newcastle United just two miles away, Gateshead rarely attract four-figure attendances.
As a result, former Sunderland vice-chairman Wood, bankrolls their professional status.
"We have probably lost two generations of support since getting voted out of the League," he explained.
"But I think there is certainly enough potential here to get the crowds back. Promotion would be huge - it'd increase income by around £1m."
