Re: Northampton Thread
A great result without hitting the heights we have in recent games. Some very tired red legs in the second half, and I just wish Coley would use his subs more during the second half, as I feel we are losing a bit of sharpness by flogging the starting players. We play at a very high tempo and it seems to me the 2 games a week schedule is beginning to show. I hope I'm wrong. A very disappointing gate considering the good news this week, and the fact that Northampton brought a decent following.

Re: Northampton Thread
Just got back to pie eating land after a great day at the Crown. Not the best performance, but fer me, MOM was Ian Craney, not just for his 2 goals, but the shift he put in today. Cisak was excellent and performed when he had to, could not have done anything for the cobblers goal.My main worry is tired legs, playing again Tuesday and Friday is a worry, but 1-0 wins even in squeaky bum time will do me. Onwards and upwards

Re: Northampton Thread
Northampton brought a decent following but it cant have been much more than 300? Still disappointing though considering the recent run, goals scored, play offs in sight and Eric dun one.
Really chuffed with todays result. We never seemed to get the game going as in some of the more recent efforts as Northampton always seemed to have a man in the way of the pass. Is that well played Northampton? Hereford seemed to allow us to play far better football but yet they also played some good football, Northampton offered nowt but seemed to give us nowt neither.
First two goals were rather scrappy and could have gone anywhere type of goals but we DID deserve to be leading by said scoreline.
Happy day at the office and SU were again fully commanding.

Re: Northampton Thread
Well another win for the mighty Redmen of Accrington.
Beginning to get rather giddy now!!
Thought we did another professional job, they looked a tricky side, especially in the 1st 20 mins, Hessey was having all sorts of problems and was lucky not to see red IMO.
Superb decision by Coley to bring him off at Half time, no point risking 10 men when we have a fresh Kevin Long sat on the bench.
Hoping Jimmys knock isnt 2 bad.
Roll on Tuesday !!!!!!!!!!

Re: Northampton Thread
A very good first half with again nice pass & go stuff another cracker from Macca, MOM definately Craney but again a good team performance.
Second half the Cobblers made some changes and then pegged us back a little again just following on from other posters maybe tired legs played their part I don't think it was a case of job done just pressing from Northampton.
Another Three points and another big game Tuesday
Well Done to the Ultras rousing stuff and it definately gives everyone a lift

Re: Northampton Thread
This is just fantastic... With all the daylight saving hoo-haa, football at 2 AM in the morning in the middle of the busiest time of the year for me is a 'no go' for a couple of weeks. I am so wrapt for everyone that STANLEY are travelling so well. On Stanley On.

Re: Northampton Thread
I have tried to hold this in, but after 2 hours or so (and a few Bombay Sapphire & tonics,),
'How was Alex Cisak Man of the match' he didn't have 1 save to make'.
This is no reflection on Alex by the way, (Makes it sound like he was really busy all afternoon).
Who picked 'Man of Match today'.
I would not be suprised if Proccy is still not running around the Pitch now.
