Northwich - Welchy

Seems as though Northwich are in financial (and footballing) trouble.

Slightly old news is that Welchy has been out with broken collar bone, some of you may not have seen this clip before, I hadn't, worth a look. Back in August against Droylsden.

Apparently Northwich are going to be wound up later this month.

A fans' committee will restart the club as AFC Northwich and they'll have to start all over again.

Re: Northwich - Welchy

Cash seems to be playing a major part around local football....

Last week Radcliffe Boro chair Bernard Manning jnr announced he was putting the club up for sale as he was no longer prepared to fund the club. They are in current freefall and owe money to a number of sources i know personally.

It's sad but i'm afraid this sort of news will become more common unless the WHOLE game takes a long hard look at itself.

I for one hope Boro find a buyer and prosper but it will be tough whoever takes over.

how did they fund the new ground they have? if cash was absent then it seems silly to build a new ground! and surely this isn't just something that has sprung upon them?

have they owt nice we can buy off them?

Yeah no more second hand stands please. The Aldershot Military Tattoo stand was quite enough.

Does this mean they will drop the claim for more money for Mark Roberts?

If Welchie becomes a free agent we could bring him back.
