Not one but two

Of your former players settling in nicely at Udders, Craney who looked lost at your place had an absolute masterclass last saturday, could of had a hattrick and scored a cracker.
Hard to believe he'd be back to his good old self once more and at a higher level

Roberts also weighed in with a few useful assists

Re: Not one but two

Craney always had the ability, trouble was he wasn't consistent and could be plain bloody lazy. Maybe he's put that behind him and decided to knuckle down - or he could just as easily go back to being a nightmare this week - only time will tell.

No chance of doing that with Stan in charge, you can be useless but you'll run for 90 minutes

Thumbs up Re: Not one but two

Always liked craney and roberts, wish they were working together for accy.but if they've found their true level in div 1 then the best of luck to the both of them.craney may have been lazy and even played out of position sometimes, but one moment of magic and he could turn a game on it's head.

Re: Not one but two

very true, the first year back in the football league roberts and craney would rip teams apart, than they left and we started to get the wrong results! everyone knew that craney was a very good player and bit of magic could change the game! his free kick at port vale this year magic! good luck to them both! nice to see craney at stanley on sunday!

Didn't see much ripping in the early football league games I saw.

An in-form, committed Craney, yes. But that version of Ian very rarely graced our pitch. The centre of the park isn't the big problem anyway. I think that Jimmy Ryan and John Mullin can provide the core to a decent midfield for us this season. What we desperately need is out and out wingers. The strikers have ZERO service at the moment. If John Miles is given a steady position (right wing, preferably) and continues his improvement then that will go a long way. We really do need a left winger on loan until Bobby Grant returns. A Prendergast type - a line hugger that knocks in useful crosses all day long. Until then we might as well keep Mullers on the bench as without service he can't give us his best.

Anyone remember the Deano & Rory days?!

Have you stopped taking the medication? We're missing him like we'd miss a hole in the head.
