He did indeed but looked knackered, not surprising given the amount of ground he covered - makes sense to rest him to start & bring him on later if need be

Re: Notts County Thread

Disappointed, not got out of second gear yet.
I know it's warm but we're better than them.
We have to play better to get something.
Both teams have had chances, but players are switching off when we don't have the ball.

Got out of jail today, we didn't threaten much before Crooksy popped up in the box to knock home a rebound. They were poor but we struggled to break them down. Could have won it at the end as we pushed on against 10 men. Not sure that we got £24 worth of entertainment. MOM for us was Buxton, class act at the back, closely followed by Davies.

Re: Notts County Thread

I was following the match on both Fishy and Beeb live updates. After County scored they weren't mentioned again in any attacks. Sounds like we were doing all of the attacking near the end. Glad for Crooksy to score the equaliser. I think we only dropped one position in the league. Overall, a point away at Notts County is not too bad.
It does sound though like we still have the old problem of lacking an out and out attacking centre forward who could get 20 goals in a season!

Re: Notts County Thread

Think the heat played a bigger part than I first imagined.
Saying that we were fortunate to get anything out the game as we never looked like converting our chances, which time after time was poor decision making.
Made up for crooksy as he wasn't having the best of games.
Can't agree with Phil about bucko, for me they got in time and time again in his area(windlass didn't help him),but on the plus side he played much better in the second half when we went 4-2-3-1.
Two CBs played well and gave stead nothing all day.
Getting something from the game when your not at your best is the sign of a good team KTF
