Re: Old boy-New Club.

Prendergast was a disruptive force in the changing room. He was never coming back to us.

Just a thought on Perkins, he played with Rochdale's present manager, which always seems to help in football circles when getting players.

As for Rory, the downside far outweighs his ability, I wouldn't want him back. Rory v Cav should be interesting though .

It wasn't all down to Rory though - thats just what we were led to believe. I just hope that when we play Rochdale he doesn't get the flack he got when he was on loan at Halifax - surely it's time to let bygones be bygones

Once again we are discussing who's not joining us when it should be the other way round but of course while our management are in Spain nobody will be joining us.

Sorry to quote myself, but I wasn't referring to his disruptive influence, just the fact that he was a diving, cheating and sometimes nasty player; a sandwich short of a picnic.

Like I said, Rory v Cav should be interesting .

Re: Old boy-New Club.

nicked from Vital Rochdale site
......To give us some more information on our new signing. Jack from the Blackpool Vital Site was happy enough to take a few minutes out and give us a closer insight on to the type of player Prendergast is.

'always puts 110% in, good crosser of the ball (on occasions, but if he was consistent he'd be playing at a higher level obviously)'

'poor tackler, poor decision making, but i liked him, just not good enough for us. he's at his best when in his comfort zone (like at Accy.)'

'slow as feck, can get bullied out often also, I haven't seen him play for months so I wouldn't know about his fitness, but I'd assume he can play near enough straight away.'

'plus, Prendergast was the deadwood that Hendry left and the club are trying to rid themselves of this.'

Chris Vessey also had a bit to say about the former Accrington Stanley winger: 'supposed to be a tricky winger but is often known for a bit of an attitude problem, especially at Halifax and Blackpool. typical footballer really..
gets dropped, sulks.'

Prendergast has signed a twelve month contract and will wear the number 27 shirt, worn by former Sunderland FC loanee William Mocquet.

Rochdale Vital would like to thank Jack and Chris for their respective views on Rory Prendergast.

I added the red bits ... just for effect like....
