Re: Old Programme

I was looking at one yesterday in robs office.. he also has the very first ever accy stanley program with a nice little bit in it stating that enough accy fans have expressed an interest so the club are going to start producing programmes.... now that is old

we where discussing the possibilities of all this old stuff having the same airing as old pictures... scan and put online for everyone to see

Nice idea, how about some as PDF files so we can have a read. I’d like to see some of the older memorabilia framed up on archive safe materiel and screwed tightly to the Club walls so there’s something to look at.

Questions?

What happened to all the old Pennants that use to be hung up?

Do we have a collection of Shirts, other kit or Scarf’s?

Do we have anything from the old ground? Like the clock or out like that?

Re: Old Programme

if and when we get a new purpose built bar behind the Clayton End I would like to see it filled with memorabilia such as Doug mentioned, give the fans an affinity with the place. I'd also like to see a wall started with a passport sized picture of every player who ever signs for us from that day forward. It would look a bit crappy to start with but after a good few years it would make an interesting anecdote of days gone by. Every fan has a story of ex-players scoring great goals or missing sitters.

not everyone has the pdf reader and not everyone can get it. I tend/try to stay away from anything that requires a download or isn't available to everyone.

I've got three. I also have an original first ever Stanley programme, 1920-21 season against Morecambe in the Lancashire Junior Cup. A re-print was made of this programme around 1990 by Alan Clegg (programme dealer). The original is worth a few thousand pounds but the re-print a couple of pounds.

Re: Old Programme

I got this from Stanley Auctions last year, I was giving it back to the club to sell again but someone it wouldn’t make it back to the sale.

It’s autographed on the front by Gray Roberts and Ian Craney; it’s complete but does have some water damage from the night of the game on the second page, the signatures are undamaged. Worth putting on eBay do you think or not?
