One Inspirational player.??

If you could have 1 premier player on a loan basis for just 1 game, who would that be? It dosen't have to be the flashiest type, but someone who would inspire the team with great leadership skills that would hopefully leave a lasting impression on the Stanley squad. As I don't get to see them on a week in,week out basis,I have know idea, except maybe Beckham.
Any thoughts?

We've got enough mickey mousers, how about a French partnership, Thierry Henry and Rommy Boco.

Got to be Wayne Rooney

One, he's a scouser.
Two, it would be great for him to play with a proper centre forward.

It'd have to be Stevie Gerrard - one of the few on the premiership who doesn't dive all over the place

Just against Hungary?

Quote:

"Other teams will do it against us, so why don't we? It will happen to us again, so we should," he said during the BBC's Match of The Day coverage.
Ex-England skipper and fellow BBC pundit Terry Butcher said he believed Gerrard dived to get the spot-kick. <!-- E SF -->
Butcher told Five Live Sport: "It was never a penalty, Gerrard dived. You can't give a penalty for that.
"Feher came in two-footed to win the ball and Gerrard took it to one side and then went down, there was no contact whatsoever. "Had there been contact he would have been stretchered off
Sorry if this is over the top, but he's the modern day Alan Shearer IMHO.

Re: One Inspirational player.??

Oggy, wasn`t it Ian Wright who said that in the world cup.
I distinctly remember being disgusted.
We`re Englishmen for christs sake, we shouldn`t be stooping to those measures should we. No matter what the bloody foreigners do an Englishman should never go down unless he`s brought down. If Stevie G sided with the "Go with the flow" posse then it`s the 1 thing he`s let me down on.
He`d still have to be my number 1 all rounder at present.
I admire him most for sticking with the pool when he could be anywhere he wanted.
Maybe we`ll get him when he`s past his premiership best if Dunbavin`s still in the nets.
