Re: optimistic

I'm quite excited about the next few games, and the rest of the season.

Saw the young Polish keeper, and Fearon last night and wish them both well. Let's get behind them, they're both kids and just want to do well, let's calm their nerves and let them concentrate on their game. (Dunbavin is out for a while yet, it was nice to be able to wish him well last night.)

Mauro Almeida I'm sure will be let his football do the talking, really liked the look of him last night, very pro-active (alert) and will improve the others.

Grant's profile is probably the nearest fit to what the team need, and if he's worth his place it'll be a very good signing, I wish him well.

They'll all settle in quicker if we get behind them, it won't be an instant fix.

Having said that, I'm expecting a clean sheet and couple of goals on Saturday .

Don't think he needs a work permit as he is Portugese, but he should need International clearance. If he hasn't got it then should he have played in the reserves on Wednesday ?

Re: optimistic

It said on Radio Lancashire topday that the club were awaiting a work permit. They may have meant international clearance, but as you say Jeff, he shouldn't have played Wednesday if he didn't have it.

Re: optimistic

Grantly is a quality player. I was dissapointed he left Everton when he did. He is clever and has that ability to spot and deliver a defence splitting pass.

Ok so they wernt our No1 targets (by all accounts) but I pleased with the new signings. 3 points tomorrow would make me even more optimistic about staying up.

JC always pulls it off in the end.
