To clarify the last post, you can still attend and you can still join in with discussion as to this and that. When it comes to the point where you put your hand up for or against, you will be asked whether you are a member or not?

We want people to join in, attend, help with ideas, help with organising things. We want you to be members as well, but IMHO that is not the be all and end all.

apparently you cant.

For some reason proxy votes have never been privvy to provision. This is another thing thing that needs to change I believe. It would seem that proxy voting would involve a newsletter first of all being sent out to allow the foreign votee to know what is being voted upon. Then somebody would need to collate the information and put his/her hand up numerous times for both sides of the vote.

I had tried to avoid offering myself forward as a candidate, but in the absence of all others then it is macca for chairman I'm afraid.

the choice thus far is:

chairman: macca or ..................................

vice-chair: sparkie or ..................................

secretary ???????????? or ??????????????? Mr Morton???????? please??????

treasurer hopefully Bill Nuttall will stay on.

By all means offer your proxy vote. Whether it will be be counted or whether it will be needed is another matter entirely.

Supporters Club website says kids are welcome. They, however, are ineligible to vote, whether members or not, according to the club constitution.

But as they are the 'doing-fans' of tomorrow its time they learnt about the club in a bit more depth. And anyway I heard a whisper that coke sales are down this year.
