It's only on for a few minutes now, so if you want to edit something you've got to do it quick!

So, will the Clayton End bar be open in time for Christmas?

Re: OSC meeting november 13th

maybe get a Fully Qualified chef to cater for the Buisness men and women who come to see accy, maybe that way you can higher the prices or just spread the news to get more peopel to eat, all it takes is about 3 chefs for about 10-50 people, Head chef and 2 Sous Chefsmaybe a commis chef and a couple of waiters and your sorted, at rovers they have starter, main, Dessert/ Cheeseboard, all before the game arrive 2 hours before the game, at half time they have a pot of tea then full time pot of tea and a few sandwiches and pork pies, it might be asking alot but with a decent budget it could work out, and get the buisness men from the clubs eating, there is plenty of local busness around hynburn and ribble valley that would like to co-operate with us, maybe Mr Allonby would do the milk for Tea/ Coffie and also fresh orange juice ETC just an idea but if it had a lot of thinking too it will work, all depending on how many league 2 teams have eating in there Suites.. ive worked at rovers for over a year now and seen how it all works, Rovers obv have alot more budget, but they do change in each suite what they serve, Pennats ( Legends) they have a buffet were they usally have a curry, veg choice( green beans, Cauliflower Cheese, Carrots ETC) a veggie choice e.g Mushroom rissoto, a pie / sheppards/ cottage/ hot pot. Internatinal have, Chips, a pie and a curry and a choice of sandwiches and crisps to offer, Pennants, Red rose and the Chairmans / owners suite is a set menu, have a set menu but change it every week,

also it would be great for partys, i know there is partys at accy but they have a hot buffet not just sandwiches etc which is a key advantage, after a trail say accy could then cater for buiness meetings

dont reply saying this is accy not rovers this is jsut an idea...

hope that makes sense and hope its in the right topic....

Re: OSC meeting november 13th

Scott,

Without wishing to dampen your enthuasium, BUT have you ever been to the FES????

If not suggest you come down at look at our homely facilities.

Currently we have the Gazelle Lounge ( capacity 30) the Boardroom (capacity 20) , the Sponsors Loundge ( capacity 30) and the Social Club (capacity ( around 200). There are no kitchens or catering areas, just several pie warmers.

We currently cannot fill the Gazelle Lounge every match, although the commercial department have all matches and match balles sponsored.

At the moment the big priority is to provide bars for the Clayton End and the Coppice End to provide additional comfort for our loyal fans and maximise income.

What it appears you are suggesting is to close the bar to provide expensive meals for the priviledged few.

Sorry pal, get real this is Accrington were the vast majority of our loyal fans, football is the treat.

If you want to see how not to run coperate facilities go to Bury FC. They have two resteraunts seating 120. They cannot fill these on a regular basis and now if you sponsor the match in includes a meal at twice the previous price.

Going forward, lets keep it simple and keep all functions inhouse at prices all can afford

Re: OSC meeting november 13th

...so as I was saying, when will work be starting on the bars? Can we expect to see the foundations in place on Saturday? Will I be able to celebrate boxing day with Scotch on the rocks before taking my place on the terraces? What's that you say, Eric? Before the weather turns??!!

That would be nice, A nice bit of malt before the match, all stood round a burning old oil drum freezing our nuts off under a winter sky.

I've had enough macca, it's like banging your head against a brick wall trying to get info or getting them to listen to your ideas, small town staff for a small town club who can't see past the end of their own noses. I've gone back to doing what I used to do and that is watching footy.

Re: OSC meeting november 13th

One of the first things to come out of the meeting is that the forum is now open again on the supporters club site. It is not intended to replace this site and nor would it ever try or be able to do. But it is somewhere where I can post details of all meetings without boring people on here too much. Also, it has the capacity to mass mail various details. So all those Supporters Club members who wish to enter the meetings area will be registered for the mailings and will receive prior warning of all that is going on, or has gone on. http://stanleysupporters.co.uk/forum...fd3e82fddc0003

Also we managed to sign up another 25 members yesterday so thank you to those people. If you were, but are not now, a member of the supporters club, please try to back us this season. We have a lot to do to get the OSC to where it should be and we cant do it if people keep hedging their bets so to speak.

The OSC has donated christmas decorations to the club this weekend. They will be going up on the 3rd December so the club will be open for a couple of hours whilst this is happening. Drop in for a drink if you are around. Also if you have any spare decorations that you want to update or replace this year, then now is the time to do it and you can give us the older stuff.

We need you folks.
