Re: Our problem....

the next big thing will be to have the 'bars' behind the both goal ends.

I'm not having a go but it was mentioned pre-season and we were told that they would be along the lines of the burger bars and would serve into plastic bottles and glasses (?)

The roof will most definitely help to keep people coming after a first visit and the bars would help to win back a lot of the fans who have stopped coming. We've gotta get onto it because we are losing money hand over fist every week through stop-aways or missed revenue.

I'm hoping that the recent articles are more of a moan in general than a definitve statement of affairs but providing we can see out the season in this league I reckon things will be a lot rosier in twelve months. Home crowds will average 2000 + away fans.

Re: Our problem....

Things are once again moving in a positive direction
Setting up of the Centre of Excellence
The football development Centre
The long awaited roof over the Terrace
The setting up of the Stanley Legends
If we need a cash injection and can't find a willing taker what about a shares issue!
I don't know what the rules govern towards shares issues but if the club were too release 2,000 shares at £50 a pop that would raise £100k straight away and give the fans even more chance to be involved!
The gates are worrying!! no two way's about it

Re: Our problem....

How much publicity has been given to the new roof? Living over 200 miles away, I do not see the local media. I hope that it has featured prominently in newspaper, radio and television reports.

I would have thought this would have been done well before now, all they have to do is pour cans directly into a plastic cup and charge between £2 - £2.50, thats all they did at rochdale last season, what a money maker, can of carling 40 pence,5 pence on a cup, sell to public for £2.50 (rochdale price) and thats a profit of £2.05. Eric is complaining about not getting enough money into the club yet they haven't set this up!!!
