Partick v Stanley -pubs etc
This is a second attempt at replying to some enquiries-
A good, real-ale,food serving pub that welcomes families/children is the Bon Accord on North Street- Beside Charing Cross station, and the M8. Find it by getting to Charing Cross, then ask for the Mitchell Library. The 'Bon' is about 4 doors along, beside the Harley Davidson shop. It's 30 min walk or £3 taxi to Firhill. Parking's ok in the streets behind it.
Pubs near the ground- Munns Vaults is the closest , but is not child or food friendly and will be busy(no real ale). Supporters bar in Firhill is ok but very limited beer range (no real ale) and gets busy before the kickoff.
Find the Bon on multimap.com postcode G3 7DA
I'll be there on Sat , hope to see a lot of you!

Hi Redtriker
The reason why your first thread wasn’t displayed was because you posted it in the “Accrington Forum News” section and unfortunately only admin or the moderators can actually start a thread in there, any other thread started by members is automatically removed. Anyways you’ve sorted it now.
Sorry for the inconvenience and welcome.

Re: Partick v Stanley -pubs etc
Hi guys, there are a lot of good pubs in the west end of Glasgow ** in my opinion] that are better than the Bon accord. Try the boozer at the top of Byres rd,approx 1 mile from the ground. It is called Oran Mor,a converted church on a grand scale complete with Theatre, conference rooms, family friendly restaurants, bars and an excellent beer garden for all you sun worshippers. If this place is not to your pleasure there are about 50[ no kidding] pubs within a 5 minute walk.

Re: Partick v Stanley -pubs etc
I know you're making the names of these pubs up, to make us look daft when we ask for directions!

Re: Partick v Stanley -pubs etc
Pity Kipax aint familiar with cabs either that or as well as a new camera he had better get a new SatNav. He couldnt find his way to the the Bon Accord with it. Might get the pics if he can find his way home which does not bode well for the season ahead. Nice range of beers to be had .
Lost 1-0
Jags fans were great and there was no segregation a nice atmosphere.
