Memory to cherish . . .

Paul Cook takes to the pitch for his first game at IES

He receives the ball , quickly looks up and around , threads the ball 40 yards with a deft left foot . . .

. . . inch perfect , straight to the twinkling feet of one R.Prendergast.

Astonishing ?

Well , it would have been except that Cooky did it four more times that day.

I may have forgotten some of the detail, but - essentially - that's how it was.

And I bow to no-one in my admiration of Mike Marsh , "The Little Genius".
