Re: Paul Mullin

it appears he didn't come on in your game against the Shrews on Saturday.

How can that be explained ?

Re: Paul Mullin

Michael Symes, Mullin's replacement on Saturday, was having a really good game and scored a great goal. There was no reason for Mullin to come on, injured or not.

As was said on other threads, if Mullin leaves then he'll do so with the gratitude of every Stanley fan. However, I don't think there'll be the kind of fervour shown as when he left for Bradford last season.

Theres no room for sentiment within the football league. One goal every 4 games and the biggest wage in the team. 35 years of age and one hell of a servant to the club. If you want him you can have him aslong as we get to give him a testimonial.

Re: Paul Mullin

Details 'undisclosed' I hear, though I'd have thought getting rid of his wage would have been good enough news for Accy.
Problem will have been Paul agreeing to join someone else, on whatever they were offering, when we all know he was on a good deal with you.
Hope this is seen as a good move for all parties and that perhaps you can maybe bring a loanee or two in now, with a contribution to their wages. I think the 'loan' window is still open isn't it?

Good luck for the season.

Mullin signs for Shrimps - Morecambe Today

Seeing Paul in another Red shirt must feel quite sad...almost as if it were our Twissy in reverse.

No doubt a sad day for some of you guys, but maybe it was time for him to move on as he says.
