Paul Mullin

He has helped to turn our season around.

Sol Campbell didn't know how to contain him on Saturday and it was good to see him get off the mark with one of his trade mark near post headers.

If he was 25 instead of 35 he would be in the Championship.

You're preaching to the converted on here mate, was chuffed for him on Saturday - just wish we hadn't had to let him go.

Re: Paul Mullin

Aye Paul Mullin is a great servant to our club, whether that means knocking them in for fun or leaving to ease the financial burden. Paul Mullin is and always will be a red.

Re: Paul Mullin

The one thing I did notice was his mellow celebration after he scored, did not see that at Stanley. Still a red at heart.

Thats because he didn't miss any open goals from 6 yards.

He was through twice 1 on 1 with the keeper but you have to credit Schmeichel at stopping him scoring. But give him those chances in another game and they may go in.

I was referring to his holding the ball up, flick ons to Jevons and Craney and his link play bringing other players into the game.

His goal was "made in Accrington" with it being an Ian Craney corner and it was a Craney corner for the first goal.

Dan on 2BR said that Goddard (reporter for Radio Lancs?) had described Mullers performance as one of his best and he was pulling Campbell all over the place.

Beat me to it 90 Mins up against Mullers and he has had enough..... Think of all the defenders over the last 10 years that have had to put up with Mullers

Re: Paul Mullin

I heard this interview with the Notts County chairman yesterday; this part about Sol Campbell and Morecambe made me laugh:

"...we were up at Morecambe on Saturday and I think the stark reality of that compared to where he used to play at - the Emirates and Anfield etc - perhaps brought it home."
