October's Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month nominations are...
Luke Berry (Luton Town)
His second month as a Luton player could not have gone much better with a series of all-action displays and the perfect hat-trick in the 7-1 thumping of Stevenage, the highlight of which was a delightful 20-yard curler.
Neal Eardley (Lincoln City)
Limited by injury to 25 EFL starts in four seasons and asked to play at both right-back and left-back in October, his Premier League experience, consistency and defensive know-how were invaluable as Lincoln conceded just two goals in five games.
Mikael Mandron (Colchester United)
Leading the Colchester line did not come easily at first to the 23-year-old but October was the month in which he blossomed, scoring four goals in five games, holding the ball up intelligently and bringing teammates into play.
Tom Pope (Port Vale)
Took it upon himself to transform Vale’s dismal start to the season, scoring six and making one of his side’s eight goals in five games. Two trademark headers were complemented by bulldozing runs and finishes as well as close-range strikes.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
