Re: Peter Marsden
Anyone who is seriously interested in the club and in a position to invest money, is welcome in my eyes.
One good thing is that he's based in London and he's going to find other people like himself who will invest in the club.
All good news in my eyes.

Re: Peter Marsden
Wondered why all of a sudden things are progressing, sounds good as long as his main interest is for the good of the club, tho give him credit for doing his research 1st reading Phil's book - its an addictive read

Re: Peter Marsden
I wonder what a small donation is? Credit were credit is due if this guy travels up regularly for home games then he must have the club at heart. There is no reason if we were to get major backers why we couldnt do a wigan because dave whelans 1st love is/was rovers. Hope he can spread the word and get some bored tycoons interested.

Re: Peter Marsden
There must be quite a few of us out there nationwide who share very similar Stanley experiences and think of Stanley and its people in much the same way. I notice that Peter is the same age as me. Likewise the seeds were sown in the ashes of the early to mid sixties and nurtured by the early non league revival and the Hargreaves era.
Welcome to your new role!
Hopefully Peter can find more like minded people and Stanley can become the significant force they might have gone on to become without the debt and with bit more capital behind them in the late fifties.....and that their stalwart workers and wonderful supporters deserve.
The club has been well run without debt and has a great name world wide. As I see 2 wealthy national and international consortia close in on Sheffield Wednesday £27 million in debt and previously rife with squabbles between many supporters and the board I must admit I have been baffled as to why no one else has invested significantly in Stanley since they got back into the Football League.

agree. i have also thought its a matter of time to when someone is going to buy the club and invest heavily and give the undisputed greatest region of the world of football the north west another top team. If this dosent lead to this happening i have just got a feeling its going to happen. Debt free a fantastic historical name with plenty of history i would of thought it is an ideal start for some multi billionaires to start a revolution.

Re: Peter Marsden
the only problem with these so called millionaire's/billionaire's who take over these clubs always put the debt onto the clubs and when they find out they cant make a profit as they hoped to do the clubs go into debt im just waitin for all those premiership/championship clubs to fall greed it happens to us all
thats why i think eric should still keep the reigns at stanley better the devil you know im happy mr marsden has invested some money but i don't know enough on him to comment .maybe its just me but property developer =suspicion solicitor= suspicion

Re: Peter Marsden
New faces does not necessarily mean new money but it could mean new, fresh thinking. That can only be good for the club.
