Re: Pitch

Much prefer away friendlies, days out at Stalybridge and Halifax were great this season.

Didn't rate the halifaxaway game, much preferred standing at the shay and the lack of alcohol sales really put me off

Re: Pitch

The pitch was completely dug out last year wasn't it? Was the drainage not done at the same time or do the two things work independently?

Didn't have enough time to do full pitch drainage last year due to playoffs

Hope Somerset doesn't see that, I think he'll be reaching for the kleenex.

Re: Pitch

Hopefully last big job on the pitch and maybe one of the best surfaces in league 2 which suits our passing game.

Re: Pitch

I hope we get some strong friendlies this time. Last seasons away friendlies were not enough of a challenge for us. We need higher league opposition to test us and get us up to speed quickly. New players need a few games to settle in. I feel next season could be the one. We have been in league 2 long enough now.

Be careful what you wish for, I'll bet Blackburn fans thought they had been in the Championship long enough as well

It's time for another Scottish tour, preferably in the south west

Even more of an incentive to go up now - the prospect of an East Lancs Derby match!
