Why say "There's no problem with the pitch" yesterday, when it was obvious that it would freeze last night? I'm no weather reader, but even I knew that it would be rock hard today. To add insult to injury, the club then states that is was 'surprised' by the freezing conditions!!

That maybe so TM, but spare a thought for Rovers fans going down the Smoke only for their game being called of at 1-30pm, and they're playing a couple of miles down the road at QPR, strange

Blackpool is about the same distance away from us as Bury - their game is also off and the coast is usually about 5 degrees warmer at any given time, the fact that one club relatively near to us have their game on is irrelevant - ours is OFF - live with it!
Or do you really have nothing better to do with your afternoon than come on here arguing the toss? Grow up!

Come on AccyMad he's there only supporter thats interested all the others are watching the Toon and Smogies

Re: Pitch Inspection
I can't remember the last time a Premiership match was called off due to the weather.
Anybody?

What about sparing a thought for Stanley fans who set off at 7.30am to watch today's game?

I know what you mean having done just that and wasted a 300 mile round trip, but that is football at this level. I jokingly said to Rob Heys that they had the game postponed because we have no players but in reality we all know that we would have been better to have played today with what we have and lost but got a decent crowd than play on a weeknight with a lot less in the crowd because we won't have any world class players coming in in this transfer window. To suggest that Stanley wanted this game off is totally delusional and anyone who thinks so is totally paranoid. The only consolation, other than a day on the bevvy in accy, was the guys over from Norway in the Crown had a longer journey than me

Re: Pitch Inspection
Alan Knill was quoted in the News of the World today saying that the Bury game should never have kicked off, the quote finished with something along the lines of "all the other games around us being off should have told us something"

This is a stitch up, my opinion is they did not want the game to go ahead.

I see Darlo's match was off yesterday (frozen pitch). How could they NOT have known the pitch would freeze? Have they no covers? What is the email for their club?
