Exclamation Pitch Inspection Today!

Stanley v Rotherham
Saturday 16th Jan 2010

Pitch inspection 10am
There will be a pitch inspection ahead of this afternoon's match against Rotherham United.

The heavy rainfall this morning has caused some problems with the playing surface this morning and the match referee will be at the ground to assess the situation at 10am this morning.

This together with Cashy and LD posts, does not make good reading, especially with Gills match on Tuesday!!

Re: Pitch Inspection Today!

The rain is easing off now but it is forecast to be light rain for the rest of the morning. I suspect the damage has already been done. The one good thing is that if there's any chance of getting the water off the pitch then it could be left a couple of hours considering the shortish travelling distance for Rotherham fans.

Will be gutting for those who have been grafting with the snow if it's off

Quite. Wait until 11.00 before the decision, with rain forecast to die out.

Match off - waterlogged pitch.

This afternoon's match against Rotherham has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A date for the rearranged fixture will be announced shortly.
