pitch tonight

match against Darlo youth called of due to waterlogged pitch due to rain.
How has this happened on a new pitch paid for bhy Ilyas

Nowt like what the Chesterfield pitch had to cope with and that was almost perfect. Mind you 12 million quid as against 70 grand!

Yes of course, but I'll bet a fair chunk of that went into the pitch. Looked like one of those part artificial ones to me.

Given the geology of Accrington, particularly around The Crown, Stanley would do better to play on a raft.

Pitch took a lot of rain from mid afternoon & by 5.00 was holding water in Whinney Hill/ Clayton corner & from centre circle down middle to away end. Ref called game off around 5.15. Forecast for weekend should ensure no repeat-however I'm not guaranteeing the team performance on the day
