Re: Planning Application
11/10/0106
Accrington Stanley FC Crown Ground Livingstone Road Accrington
Full: Relocation of upper level ground control room, ground level portakabin,
access stairway and enclosure: Temporary permission for 12 months
Mr Robert Heys
So, all they're doing is asking permission to move the the portakabin to the other side of the ground. Does this mean that the planned redevelopment isn't going ahead this summer after all?

Re: Planning Application
We have to increase the capacity as it is only 4350, but no planning application for re-development has been lodged. If we acquire the stand from Blackpool we will have to have planning permission for it to be erected. I am sure that Ilyas has it all under control. Anyway work has probably started as Heys and O'Neill promised us that work would commence after the last home game of the season, then again, they didn't say which season did they ?

Re: Planning Application
From painful experience of our streamlined and modernised planning system, it's likely to take an efficient, focussed and well-funded company a good 4 and probably 6 months to prepare for a detailed planning application. One expectation today is that applicants for big projects consult with neighbours before submitting an application.
Unless anyone saw some yellow jackets on the Coppice End with a theodolite and survey poles during the recent ice-age, it may be a tad optimistic to expect an imminent application for a major redevelopment scheme.
But then I'm an Aquarian, the bringer of cold water.

So, does these mean that what we're going to have next season is just another make-and-mend, botched-up solution...the portakabin moved to the other side of the ground and a few temporary seats bunged in somewhere? It's about time the club were telling us what exactly is going on...like it's about time they were telling us about Coley's and Jimmy's contracts. Mushrooms spring to mind.

Re: Planning Application
We've still got the stand from Blackpool for the Whinney Hill side of the ground and the new perimeter advertising. We can only trust Ilyas and I am sure that we will see a difference in the Crown Ground next season

So, how long's it going to take for planning permission to be granted? Longer than the start of next season, if Exile's correct. High time the club were levelling with us about what's going on.

Can't help thinking they've given us long enough. If I was at the Football League I think I'd have grown tired of empty promises by now. The cynic in me is starting to wonder if this is connected to the delays in finalising contracts. In Ilyas we trust. It's the other beggers I'm not sure about.

Re: Planning Application
I was under the impression that you are still in discussions with us for the relocation of our North Stand to your ground. Has the Blackpool deal been finalised?
Personally i would have liked to have seen some of the terracing relocated to The Globe Arena but it falls outside of the future development plans for the area that they could have been used.

As far as I know the Blackpool deal is finalised and the relocation of your North Stand has been abandoned.

Re: Planning Application
Exactly where is the Blackpool stand going to be erected? Coppice end, or Whnney Hill side?
