Re: Planning Application
There is also a mention in there of an 'increased capacity' to the ground, i wonder where that will be... it has to be either cow shed or away end in my opinion, wether it be a bigger cow shed or at least a roof over the away end

Re: Planning Application
there's no mention of the impending new 'development' with the LEGI money we were getting. Gone pretty quiet on that front ...

I don't think that a roof over the away end will increase the capacity, unless they put seats on it.
Aren't we supposed to be getting the temporary stand from Blackpool to erect in place of the cow shed ?

Is it going back up again next season?
If so it might anger the local residents even more than just leaving it where it was.

Re: Planning Application
See fishy site, ground is receiving a thorough paint job over the next few weeks - can't really see what is meant by 'giving something back to the community' - how does having a team of volunteers in do that?? Still, it'll all look bright & shiny

It's a work experience program, effectively if companies didn't find some work to do they wouldn't gain experience. Not sure how they work out they are volunteers though, as far as I can see it's a government funded scheme

Presumably that's because of the scuffing it receives every time a ball is hoofed out of defence.

Re: Planning Application
From ASFC Website,
"We are thrilled that the club can be used as a platform for individuals to gain valuable experience that will help them back into employment."
Loosely translated: We are thrilled that the club have managed to get this work done fer nowt.

Re: Planning Application
Accy Ob has a story in about the box being moved. Can't remember word for word but around £50k of work is being carried out (on the pitch and toilets and refreshment facilities). summat along the lines of "we are doing necessary work before doing owt else".
Looks like the Coppice development has come to a full stop

I would have got the drainage on the pitch sorted first , Then we won 't have the same problems this coming season as we did the last ?
