Re: player of the year

I think rocky has been one of the best (defenders) this season and would choose him over welsh, but i would also choose Almeida over welsh for the bench. where is he????

Re: player of the year

I saw Mauro leaving the ground on Saturday, and he didnt look injured. I fear he could go the same way as N'Da, Howson etc and be another quality defender we let slip.

Rocky has been immense this season. IMHO he has been better at this level then he was in the Conference. But its clear to ssee hes come on leaps and bounds.

Mauro was superb at Barnet but at the moment it has to be Godwin and Rocky. Shame for Welchy, who's a cult hero, but he'll have to bide his time.

As for player of the season, Toddy by a country mile. If he want 27 he'd be playing at a higher level guranteed. Another quality find by Sir John. As is Jay Harris who I picked for young player of the year. He's given us that tough, defensive edge the midfield has needed, allowing others to attack and I wouldnt relish facing him of I was on the opposition team.

As M people sung, "Moving on up!!"

I can't believe I have voted for the same players as you and Bagpuss! Maybe we do have something in common!!!

Re: player of the year

I can't believe Andy Procter is yet to be mentioned, he's played well over 90% of the games and been in my opinoin out standing, don't forget he was out all of last season and to come back and do what he's done earns my vote! Take nothing away from Toddy it was hard to choose but Proc gets it for me.
As for young player that was much harder Jay,Romy and Phil all be brilliant but I went for Shaun Whalley simply because he had huge shoes to fill and i think he's done it brilliantly, won it for us against Mansfield at home, beat two to set Browny up against Hereford. plus im a left winger
what do you all think to Proc and Whalley for the votes?

If I where a Liverpool fan I would reply that at least I know where Anfield is and what it looks like inside.
But really it's obvious that great minds think alike.

I went for Todd for player of the year and Harris for young player of the year, yes others do deserve a mention but these two got my vote.
