Re: player of the year
I saw Mauro leaving the ground on Saturday, and he didnt look injured. I fear he could go the same way as N'Da, Howson etc and be another quality defender we let slip.
Rocky has been immense this season. IMHO he has been better at this level then he was in the Conference. But its clear to ssee hes come on leaps and bounds.
Mauro was superb at Barnet but at the moment it has to be Godwin and Rocky. Shame for Welchy, who's a cult hero, but he'll have to bide his time.
As for player of the season, Toddy by a country mile. If he want 27 he'd be playing at a higher level guranteed. Another quality find by Sir John. As is Jay Harris who I picked for young player of the year. He's given us that tough, defensive edge the midfield has needed, allowing others to attack and I wouldnt relish facing him of I was on the opposition team.
As M people sung, "Moving on up!!"
