Re: Player of the Year voting
I'd have voted for Roberts and McGivern, but was afraid of the "Coley is God" brigade getting on my case.

Re: Player of the Year voting
I went for Mullin, as he as consistantley given 110% in most games, i went for Harris as Young player as again he as given in 110% in most games, ok he`s got a bit to learn yet but i like players that show they are willing to give it their all for the team.
Kenny Arthur would have got my vote but i think Mullin just edged it for me.

Re: Player of the Year voting
After watching todays game, I wouldn't give any of them my vote, even if I had got a voting slip. No passion, no effort and no damn good.

Re: Player of the Year voting
I don't know how anyone can vote for Harris. Since the turn of the year, and especially over the last 2 months, he's been a liability. Harris used to do 2 things very well. He'd run his heart out every game and he'd tackle like a man possessed. Something has happened, as he hasn't done either of these things for a long time now.

Re: Player of the Year voting
the one thing that amazed me when checking through the slips was that people would vote for Edwards as Player of the Year but not as Young Player of the Year!!!! Same again for Harris!!!!
if one of them was overall Player of the Year then surely they would be Young Player of the Year?
Roberts and McGivern did get votes Ozzy, did they get enough to win an award? we'll see.
Sorry to those that didn't get a vote but we did try to get around everybody. One or two people did try to give us slips after the game but by then they had been counted and verified. We couldn't possibly have left it longer and longer as the votes had to be counted whilst people were there to adjudicate any discrepancies.
Same goes for Proxy votes as well really, in a handful of instances where we know who you are the vote could possibly have been taken - but in other instances you may have been entitling yourself to two votes and that would not have been in the best interests of the vote.
If anyone knows any better ways of doing things next season then I am sure there will be people willing to listen to offers of help.

Exactly. That's why I voted for Phil Edwards in both categories.

Re: Player of the Year voting
Isn't it Ironic, that the Defence seem to be getting the most votes.

Re: Player of the Year voting
our collective defence has conceded far too many goals
the midfield has neither supported the defence nor the attack
the attack hasn't scored enough goals
leaves very few to actually say "you've had a good season son"

Re: Player of the Year voting
leam always gives 100 percent , harris plays with his heart . how any 1 can vote for authur , injured half of season and still concedes soft goals . think he will be gone end of season , think he only came here to make name for himself .

Harris isn't half the player he was and he wasn't much when he was good.
Arthur has made a difference at the back, but he can't do it all on his own.
