Re: PNE Thread
Great game sat next to loads of Preston fans who were in hospitality they thought we played some excellent stuff and thoroughly enjoyed their evening. My man of the match for what it,s worth was Hughes brilliantly led the back line looks rosy for the season let's hope for a big gun next round.

Re: PNE Thread
Can't imagine what that was like in the Clayton End. Following the last five minutes via the BBC Sport live text was purgatory! On Stanley On!!

Re: PNE Thread
Thrilled by a real fighting performance by the reds, heartbreak at 2-2 how can we not see the 3 mins out, elation at 3-2, but feel for Preston fans who at 2-1 they filed out of the ground, at 2-2 they were running back in and all most immediately turned tail and file back out as Stanley went 3-2,

Re: PNE Thread
Sorry, can't share the feeling for any Preston fans who were leaving at 2 - 1, you don't leave before the final whistle & the fat lady has sung her last note

Re: PNE Thread
Having slept on last nights game, I decided my earlier one-word superlative was inadequate to describe the true magnitude of this victory.
Make no mistake, this was no fluke win. We took on and beat a Championship club who arrived determined to show who was the boss in this match.
Preston were skilful & fast. Their one-touch passing was a joy to behold.
Yes! On another day, they could have scored 3 or 4 goals & as Cashy pointed out, their finishing was their downfall.
But, when they began to put us under pressure after their first equaliser, there was the Great Dane pulling off some great saves & plucking high balls from the air with ease.
Ours was a performance of guts & determination.
After Jordan's 86th minute goal to restore our lead, a lesser team would have thrown in the towel when Preston equalised in the 91st minute.
But this team showed their mettle to stun our opponents with a deserved winner in the 93rd minute.
I think MOM was given to Hornby-Forbes, who was brilliant throughout.
But every Stanley player deserved praise for their 'never-say-die' attitude.
After last night, we need fear no-one in league 2.
Never mind Yeovil, bring on Luton I say!
