I'm an interested outsider. No i'm not an Accrington fan, I'm a football fan who's deeply concerned about the current state of finances in football. I intend to start polls similar to this around other forums and encourage debate.
I've been criticised by people who think the idea of supporting clubs to be more transparent is stupid and meaningless because it'll never happen, but would you prefer to just leave things as it is?
We've already seen clubs end up in court being wound up by the tax man, in very high profile cases. It seems only a super run in the FA Cup or flukey promotion to the Premier League can save some clubs. This shouldn't be acceptable. I don't believe it is.
Hope this clears things up for you. I have no motives or loyalties here, only to fair play. I was hugely impressed with the Save Our Stanley campaign last year, but am massively disappointed it even had to happen in the first place.
I know the income at lower level isn't very sustainable in some cases, but I think in a broader level the FA needs to get off their so and so's and do something about it!! You may think I'm living in the dreamland, but if people stay quiet and do nothing about it... what do you expect will change? Nothing.
