Doesn't sound like Paul Mullin does it?

He'll always have time to do his hair.
Two good performances this week lads. Bring it on home.

Re: port vale.
Well done Reds, the clean sheet is the most significant result today. More of the same against Macclesfield and we can start dreaming of a play off place.

Re: port vale.
Having just got in from Vale Park, I can tell you it was a magnificent performance by the whole team. If I had to pick one or two, then Phil (Mr Reliable) Edwards was his usual commanding self and even Captain Cav had a good game along with Colin Murdock at the back. Heart fluttered when Procky had the ball, but all in all a decent display which had the home fans (who were very quiet) booing their team. If we can play like that every game, I will be a very happy chappy. I take it back what I said about JC - his tactics were spot on today. It is beginning to look like the makings of a half decent team - promotion anyone (after all it is the 3rd season in the league)?

Re: port vale.
John Miles - take a bow son.
ok, his positional sense was awful at times but the EFFORT thats right EFFORT was there and he showed his potential.
It may have taken a year and im happy to admit it - well done John Miles.
BTW - Phil Edwards MOM.
Its unfair to criticise King as the step up in fitness must be effecting him.
Only dissapointment - Clarke. He is learning and looked better than the aldershot game, but still along way to go.

Re: port vale.
hitting the crossbar again in the same manner as against Wolves sounds promising for me. Its been quite a while since we had someone who was willing to take snapshots with his back to goal - and that creates chances when the keeper or the woodwork rebounds the effort.
Well done Stanley boys.

Re: port vale.
A great win However disagree with "Take a bow son" for Miles performance. If that was his best effort we are in trouble. Phil Edwards was magnificence and gave EFFORT. I dont think Miles knows what EFFORT is. Clarke looked fly weight but seemed determined. Defence looked strong. Agreat result.

Re: port vale.
Just got back wet and slightly hung over, but happy! What really pleased me was our consistency throughout the match. After Craney scored, I expected us to do what we've done so many times before - fade away and let the game slip from our grasp, especially in the second half. But we didn't - instead, we took the game to them right through to the last minute (as you can see from Mulley's goal). If we continue to play like this, we should have a good season!

Re: port vale.
I was really in a panic that we would go down again after losing to the Shots, this is a GREAT result , as others have said a bit of form at home wouldn't go amiss !

Re: port vale.
Vale fans comments:
"Craney was a class above anyone else on the pitch and their number 9 is destined for higher things."
Regardless of whether it was the second game or 17th or 40th, that was a deeply worrying performance.
From front to back, the ball was treated like a hot potato, and we were passed off the park by Accrington Stanley."
Mind you .. have us lot in the Railway upset someone? No tannoy and no lights in the men's latrines. It's bad enough getting nailed at home by Accrington Stanley, without someone slashing all over your shoes at half time"
Also, another thing that comes to mind, is that we were very lucky not to give away a penalty early on, from Slater. He spread his body, and his right arm lifted slightly, and connected with the ball. The liner had a good view, but I thought we were lucky there."
they should of won 4-0 number 9 had a great time agianst what can only be described as a very poor defence"
I thought their 'keeper was brilliant for them. Everything he did looked easy. Plucked every ball out of the air, and only slight blip was the spill from Taylor's turn and 'shot' late one. KENNY ARTHUR - 30 year old 'keeper, with plenty of experience. Just the sort we need!
Who was their number 9??"
There number 9 was a guy called Jamie Clarke.
I thought he looked very good and surely will play for a bigger team than Accrington at some point, our two centre halfs didnt have a clue what to do to stop him."
We dominated the game but didn't create a clear cut chance, whereas the height, strength and more importantly the experience of the Stanley forwards was enough to hold the ball up and create that wonderful second goal, despite the fact that they only really had the one "Chance" all game, bearing in mind they scored a free kick, and hit the bar from a distance."
I was impressed by AS and thought that they played some good stuff

Re: port vale.
Following on from Tuesday, that was another great performance by the lads. What works particularly well was the interchangeability of King and Leam, and Cav and Miles, with each player filling in for the other when either attacking or defending. I noticed Procter did something similar with Murdock and the defence actually looked reasonably solid, with Kenny commanding his area in the ways we've come to expect.
Miles today had his best game for us, adding some composure to the team when it was most needed. I'm still not sure what his best position is, but he put in some real effort today.
Phil Edwards just goes from strength to strength. As I said on Tuesday, he's the best player we have at the moment.
Craney again put in a decent shift and just watch Mullin's sublime finish for the second goal when it's shown on TV tomorrow.
Yet again we put in a great performance away from home, but now we need to repeat it at home. There must be reasons why we play better away than we do at home? Is it the pitch?

Which pub did you go in Wynonie? We were in a real ale pub (I can't remember the name now) and I kept an eye open for you, but I didn't see you.
