Pompey were fired up for it and a fairly weak ref allowed them to bustle Stanley out of it from the off. Pompey also have some very good players, and played much better than when we played them in September.
The Stanley team tried all they could to get a win. If they can 'not try to win' against a team as good as Pompey and keep it to a single goal, then they are indeed a special squad.
I think if you watch the clip of the Match reaction with John Coleman he says at the end to Mr Jewel that he needs to stop asking stupid questions, do I think You can understand why the commentary we got on Radio Lancs was so poor. As my previous comments would tell you. The commentator left us with the distinct impression they had not turned up. As coley was measured and fair in his analysis it dos seem we had a bad game, It happens so we move on. Perhaps a better commentary would have helped.
