Exclamation Possible Targets Maybe????

It's well known that Coley is looking to strengthen his squad, How about these 2 :- Perkins of Morecambe is on the transfer list and Coley has always been interested in him top quality left back and stong holding midfield player & Carlton of Morecambe also, We need a striker he's proven at that level having scored 50 or so in nearly 90 games, rumoured to be unsettled and was going to sign for blackpool but that might now be dead due to them signing Andy Morrell so could that pave the way for us to make a move maybe???

Would be interesting to see, both very good players who would both fit in well i think you never know!!!!! But saying all that we would have to pay for there services, can see perkins only fetching a small fee but Carlton on the other hand 50k+ could or can we spend that?

Re: Possible Targets Maybe????

It'd be quality if we could sign Perkins, it would give Ian Craney some equally talented competition in midfield & great cover for Leam Richardson should he receive a suspension which is very likely!
The stumbling block is going to be the money but I'm sure Eric & co will do what needs to be done to strengthen the squad if they see fit.

Re: Possible Targets Maybe????

I'd also be delighted if these two were to join...Perkins is quality when i have seen him play and carlton's record speaks for itself...

Re: Possible Targets Maybe????

I agree, we definitely need a striker. I've never rated Brown and we need some competition for Mullers. Plus some extra options up front would be good, so that we don't have to resort to the 'default' substitution of Mangan on for Boco after 75 mins every game.

Don't laugh, but I reckon Steve Claridge could do a job for us. Although he sounded slightly desperate in his recent plea for a new club, he'd have the required experience, can get goals and (perhaps most importantly) could be a potential crowd pull. What say ye??

lol good one.
He's way past it & so up himself it's unbelievable.
Was never that good even in his prime!

Carlton could do the job a hundred times better than Claridge should we get him.
