Re: pre season
Pre-season.
Sunday 23rd May 2010.
Line up for Joma Tournament announced.
Accrington Stanley will compete in the South West Challenge Cup sponsored by Joma along with eleven other sides from across the UK.
The full line up is as follows:
Accrington Stanley
Barnstaple Town
Bideford AFC
Doncaster Rovers
Eastleigh
Havant & Waterlooville
Ilfracombe Town
Kilmarnock
Leyton Orient
Rushden & Diamonds
Shrewsbury Town
Truro City
Speaking about the the competition, Jon Haile, marketing director of Joma UK said "By any measurement I think we have secured a superbly balanced and interesting line up of full strength first team squads, a blend of both local teams and teams from further afield. Now it is all down to weather and the staging of what we all hope will be a momentous tournament and a festival of football for the real supporters."
Stanley manager John Coleman welcomed the opportunity to participate in the competition saying "Joma and the tournament organisers have done a fantastic job in putting the event together and we are looking forward to travelling down in Juy. It is always good to get away for a short while pre-season, to get the side physically ready for the new campaign and also to bond them together as a team.
"The tournament brings together good sides from around the country which will provide some testing games for us, and there are also some great training facilities provided by the organisers."
The tournament will run from Monday 19th July to Sunday 25th July. Supporters will be able to follow the tournament on the competition website at South West Challenge Cup

Re: pre season
Reckon a good pre season friendly now sure would be "Blackpool" in view of n ex-stanley lad scoring the goal that mattered fer em. if the powers that be could arrange, pretty sure would be very well attended.
