Re: pre season games more than burnley
These pre-season fixtures are really firing my enthusiasm for the new season.

Yep nothing like going into a new League Season on the back of few big scalps. I can see Wolves will be quailing if we get a few results against that lot.

Re: pre season games more than burnley
the official line on home games was that we were trying not to arrange home matches in order to allow the pitch as much time to recover as possible. And let's face it the crowds last season did not really cover matchday expenses I wouldn't imagine.
But Rob was on 2BR yesterday saying that they are still trying to secure some home matches - maybe they don't wanna come?

Did he say owt else, Macca? About the 1000 extra seats we need to ensure our league status, for example?

Re: pre season games more than burnley
So I'll take that as a "no". I hope we aren't going to go through the experience of quietly watching our league status slip away, due to events off the field. I've done it once and I don't think I could handle it again!

Quite agree...with all the Clitheroe/Ribble Valley Reds we seem to have, it could be quite a match!

Perhaps they could take over the trophy match that we used to play Great Harwood Town for!

Thats good news. Darwen FC is a great little club - with a good clubhouse - and nice ground for step 7. Lets hope they get a good crowd next Tuesday.

Wyn!.
Doesn't this seem to imply that 'The Crossbar King', myself, and a few old Clitheroe 'have-beens' would have to face the full might of t'Stanley (John Miles included ).?
Could possibly be a better proposition than a trip to 'The Anchor' though !..
