Re: pre season games more than burnley

The Darwen game is a decent fixture, and only a short hop on the bus from Accy Town Centre (Spot On Route 1)

Yes the number 1 bus goes straight there. Get off at the bus stop directly outside the Anchor Pub (a mile or so before you get to Darwen town centre), walk down the lane past the bowling club and your there at the famous Anchor Ground

Yes theres a fare sized car park right outside the entrance to the ground (where the turnstiles are). If I remember right theres not much street parking on "Anchor Avenue" - which is the lane from from the main road to the ground - but there is some.

I would've thought there'd be more than that, won't there?...first match of the season and all that.

Re: pre season games more than burnley

I went to Radcliffe a couple of seasons ago and Prescot last season, and there wasn't many more than 100 at either game (first team squad too). There may well be a few more, but preseason games aren't well attended and there isn't much to get excited about yet either.

Re: pre season games more than burnley

Visited the ground yesterday as I was passing through Darwen and was told the club house will be open from 6 instead of 6:30 for those who fancy coming early and putting their ale money to a good cause.

PS: The first chance to see Mullers and Mullers together????
