Pre-season match

In my opinion the best way to raise cash quickly for the new supporters group would be to ask one of our more illustrious neighbours to play a pre-season friendly against Stanley at their ground as a fund-raising event.

Maybe someone with a bit of 'clout' ie Barry Kilby could help us or use the high profile members of our new group to persude one of the likes of Burnley, Rovers, Preston and Blackpool who have all played against us in pre-season games in past few years to help us?

I was away at the weekend and missed the meeting, but have contacted Mr Khan with my support. I have experience in coming up with ideas which have made a few thousand for the club in recent years and I am keen to lend my support again.

I would suggest an awauy friendly at any of the neighbouring grounds will not raise any more money than playing friendlies at Stanley, in fact they will probably yield less.

Mr W = Mr Whalley, away for the weekend in London, maybe I missed it too.

Re: Pre-season match

nah it wasn't. Ghostbusters' last name begins with W but isn't Whalley. There was no hidden meanings - sorry
