Re: Prendergast

But also how many time did u see rory stood out on the left wing screeming for the ball and not getting it therefore with better service he will do better and be more consistant but unfortunatly we are losing our best service if he deciedes to go

Re: Prendergast

Hopefully he'll come good, a left sided winger is a rare commodity no matter what league your in. Who knows he may become another Brett Ormerod for us!!!

Good luck this season, I know Flynny quiet well and usually come own to the crown ground for a game during the season.

Re: Prendergast

There's a report on the BBC website that says he's definitely training with Blackpool pre-season with a view to a permanent move.

Re: Prendergast

Good luck to Rory if he makes the grade & moves up. However it begs the question just what the hell are we going to be left with to make a promotion push this season? Or is it a case of no news is good news. Given the time span left & new transfer window things are going to the wire. I for one am getting very worried.

But why call Rory when you clearly don't know him

Re: Prendergast

I will get a lot of stick for this but it is my opinion that if Stanley sell Rory and Evil and fail to find adequate replacements (and that is a big ask) then they will have no chance of promotion. A weaker team than last year is not progression but good luck to Rory and Evil should they move. Itts a shame Stanley are helpless to halt their league ambitions.

In my eyes Rory and Evil are the most integral part of the current Stanley squad. I hope Stanley can find replacement if the worst happens.

Re: Prendergast

I also think we will find it tough to replace them but what can stanley do? you cannot hold a player against his will at the club as they simply will not perform for you

Re: Prendergast

I have never seen a more direct and accurate left sided player than Rory Prendergast. Paul Mullin knows that too. How many of his goals come from the left boot of Rory? Had Rory stayed injury-free last year then Mullin may well have scored more than he did and, who knows, Stanley could have gone a step further.

Without Rory, and this is no disrespect to Gary Roberts who I think is more than able, Paul Mullin will not score as many goals as he does.

Last season Rory was often Stanley's only route to goal. This could be a devestating blow to the club but like you say JT - they can do nothing

Re: Prendergast

Tin Monkey to say a player is not 100% committed because they want to move to a club a couple of leagues higher than us is unfair. As I'm sure if someone in the business world was headhunted for more money and more opportunities to further their career they're gonna go for it! I would be sad to see any of our remaining players leave but I also would hate to stand in their way if it meant they were moving up the playing ladder. Ok I suppose the karma is gonna disappear now eh??

Re: Prendergast

Adam...Mullin was the top scorer for Stanley before Rory arrived...... How do you suppose that happened then?...DUH!

I think Rory is the best left sided player in the none league and I think he will make the grade in league football.. I am amazed at some of the crosses he can put in out of nothing and I agree with john there.. on the days he didn't perform it was more down to players not getting the ball to him...Ya cant blame him for that... I have only good things to say about him....all round top class blokey in my book...on and off the field

BUT its a bit of a stretch of the imagination to suggest the whole team will fall apart and mullin wont score goals if he isn't there..... come on!!!! we managed pre rory and we will manage post rory....

Roberts is a good replacement.. All the best Rory... I truly hope you make it.... Roll on next season and Roberts being an even bigger hit!

When I said that he wasn't 100% committed, I didn't mean for wanting to leave. I just meant that he has wanted a move for over a season, so if a player wants to move on, very few continue to give 100%. With that being the case, it would be best all round for him to leave and to try to make it elsewhere.

As I said before, Prendergast can be an excellent crosser of the ball and left-sided players who can cross a ball like him are like gold-dust. I think we will miss him, as I don't think we have a replacement for him at the moment.

Having said that, I like to think that I look on Prendergast with a more objective eye than many others who post on this board and so I'm not as distraught about his potential move as others seem to be. Read in to that what you will and I think your Karma, Harwood Red, is much safer than mine will be.

i couldent agree more, excellently put! im absolutely gutted rory has left, we cant stop him if Blackpool want to sign him.

I cant help feeling tho if Coleman had not have fallen out with him last season then he would still be at the club this year.
