Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
All the best, Proccy. Always gave everything and scored some cracking thunderbolts, especially memorable ones away from home. We don't really have a midfield enforcer now - how about moving Deano into midfield. What dust think, Football 19?

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Good luck Proccy lad, a true Stanley legend that 30 yarder against Macc to keep us safe will remain with me forever, got admit it was a shock when I heard the news and it seemed like the end of the world, but looking back at legends we have lost in the past we seem to get stronger On Staney on

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Proccy has been a great servant to Stanley and although somewhat shocked by the news it is a good move for him and hopefully a bit of the money coming in can be put to good use by Coley.
Good Luck Proccy

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
As an afterthought IMHO I think Proccy would have gone with sunbeds in the summer but for the fact it meant uprooting his family down south at least this move they can stay local.
We might see captain fantastic on the clayton end if PNE have no game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Redraine,he's played there before for blackburn, lot of people said that's his best position, but I think he's a better sweeper alongside a physical cb,

Good luck to him. Probably 18 month contract and Stanley get some money which they wouldn't have got had Weasley had his way in the summer.

This is correct. I believe he got the call at around 10ish this morning and got off the bus at around 10.30 to go to Deepdale. 2 and a half year deal as well.
I know you all hate Westley, but surely you wish no ill of Andy Procter and will all clearly now have PNE as your 2nd team?
I've been telling anyone who'll listen what a great singing this is for North End. I'm delighted for the lad....and PNE.

Come on Ian, you and me both know, Dean's best position by a country mile is at centre half. He's been admirable at both left and right back but is surely best suited as a centre back.
I can't remember any "academy" team getting the better of Dean and Jonathan when they played together in the middle of defence in their younger years at Rovers. They often had the likes of Daniel Sturridge in their back pockets.
All these lads need, is the right break at the right time. That's the only difference between being a lower league player and a Premier league superstar.

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
All the best Proccy, you deserve a chance at a higher level, hope all goes well. Wonder if he was aware what was about to happen to Coley? Good luck.

Sorry Al i missed your post!!. I am agreeing with you, just saying a few people have mentioned him playing as an holding midfielder.
Lets be fair, who would have thought Phil Jones would have been tried there??,he was just an average lad who Big sam took a shine to,indeed,it was 50/50 wheither he got took on at 16!!!.
People dont realise theres a fine line in footy, between success and faliure.
Jon was a classy CB,and the coaches moved him (wrongly in my opinion).
They won the academy league at 16 and lancs cup at 17,but lads who they dominated are in prem/championship now!!!.
You need a large slice of luck to go up the ladder as well as talent.
I have a strange feeling they will end up playing together again, probably at Acci, but hope its Wigan Ath --- ps I am the only person on this forum who likes Westley!!,Anyone who makes players train twice a day, five days a week will do me !!

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
OK,I will back track!!,I dont like him as a person, but I do like his training methods and the way he sets his teams out and the team spirit he generates.
Remember,he totally out-foxed Coley in the play-offs,and he must get a little respect for that
