Programmes wanted

I have been asked to put this letter on here by Chris:

We have a keen collector of Accrington Stanley programmes who particularly requires home match day programmes from the period 1945-1955. He is wiling to pay £10 each for any in the 1950s and £20 each for any in the 1940s. Please ring Chris Stagg on 01322 523153 or write to him at 9 Manor Close, Crayford, Kent, DA1 4EX.

Thanks

Re: Programmes wanted

I think that 1940's Stanley programmes will fetch a lot more than £20.00 and 1950's Stanley programmes will fetch a lot more than £10.00. If this chap is a "keen collector of Stanley programmes" he will know fine well that he cannot buy 1940's Stanley programmes for £20 or 1950's Stanley programmes for £10. It seems to me that he is just trying to get them on the cheap. If he is a "keen collector of Stanley programmes" he will probably have some that he doesn't need, and if so I will give him £20 for any 1940's and £10 for any 1950's. I am willing to bet that he doesn't sell any to me.
