Football,s new crisis as this idea announced by the press apparently driven by Man.Utd, Liverpool and Rick Parry supporting it even a lot of premier clubs not in favour civil war in football when pulling together his what is needed at this terrible time.
No wonder they are dangling this carrot of a bailout and future revenue when it's been revealed that the big six were in a meeting with some American big wig who is involved in super league,s around the world talking about scrapping the European cup and having a super league were they receive huge TV revenue every season with no need to qualify and no relegation.
The problem with most football clubs is that they have been heading like lemmings towards a cliff edge for years, this Covid pandemic has just brought the cliff edge precariously close although this proposal probably won't get voted through by the rest of the Premiership the 72 other clubs barring a few will and are already saying it's a great deal for them best deal on the table etc, etc. In a lot of ways they are desperately right my fear is if rejected there won't be anything else on the table and the government will turn it's back on any aid.
agree with that. when you or a club are desperate for money today you may agree to something that is not really to your future interests. its lousy timing anyway akin to a sort of blackmail for the desperate.
