Re: Questions for the Club

Why have we not offered Mangan a contract? Did Coley not rate him, or could he not agree terms?

Re: Questions for the Club

1, soccer school - steve jagielka and david brown have been involved in the soccer school, unfortunately we haven't had more first team players available with this being the last week of the pre-season schedule.

2, season tickets - sales are about the same as last year, around the 400 mark for the third year running.

3, non-contract - it can get a bit complicated, but in a nutshell: a player on non-contract terms is free to leave at any time, and the club is also able to release the player at any time. should another club wish to sign a non-contract player they must inform the player's current club by giving seven days notice of their intent to talk to the player. having said this, michael welch is expected to shortly sign a contract with the club.

4, forwards - we are expecting to sign a forward before the end of the week.

Re: Questions for the Club

nearly all changes to the rules now apply to throughout football at all levels, although i don't think these are strictly rule changes, more a case of ensuring referees apply the existing ones more stringently.

the players had a talk from a local referee a couple of weeks ago and are aware of all the updates to the rules.

Re: Questions for the Club

Why no VMI trophy this season. Both clubs have had the time and both play at the IES so why not contested. It says on the Harwood website that they have been trying to arrange it.

Re: Questions for the Club

What's the situation with Lee Hunt from Rhyl? Is there still a chance he could come to us, or is that deal now dead in the water?

Re: Questions for the Club

lee won't be joining us. the squad is fairly sorted for the time being, though obviously if the right player comes along then there's room for one or two more...

Re: Questions for the Club

yes, though there are only a handful of burnley reserves matches, and with great harwood dropping down to division 2 of the north west counties league they also have less matches then usual.
