Hi Peter,

Thanks for your email, I've forwarded it to Matt Youdale (BBC Radio York
editor) and Sharon Shortle (BBC Radio York Sports Producer).

I would like to say that in my opinion the coverage of your station on
the above match has to be one of the most biased I have ever listened
to!! I understand that local loyalty is only to be expected however the
totally biased comments made by your comentary team were WAY BEYOND
that. Also the comments made about the referee were also unprofessional,
no matter how bad he may have been. I listen to most BBC local radio
stations when I cant attend a match and this is the MOST biased I have
ever heard. I do however wish York City all the best for the remainder
of the season.

Lets see if I get a reply from the sports editor!!

Too right uk cowboy!!! I went to the game yesterday and the only down-side to a terrific day was the moaning York fans and their biased radio station on the way home. In particular "Procter-Green equalises for Accrington Stanley" in reference to the referee made my blood boil .
But I guess we had the last laugh!!!!

York City 2 - Accrington Stanley 4. No surrender to the Yorkshire scum!!!

I agree 100% Pete.

A quite disgracefully inaccurate and biased pandering to locals, and - it might be considered - likely to stir up dissent which may even have contributed to trouble later on in the day.

Commentators and journalists should be aware of their privileged and influential positions and be very careful not to exaggerate situations merely for the purpose of raising their own selfish profiles.

Very, very unprofessional indeed .
