Raining again.
Heavy rain forecast again but Andy Holt confident game Saturday will be on a machine capable of removing 20,000 litres of water a hour arriving tomorrow.

Re: Raining again.
Well I know he is banned from this site, but here's hoping he is now attacking Fleetwood Towns fans site. They had their match against Walsall called off tonight for a waterlogged pitch. It is the second time this match has been called off for the same reason. Absolute DISGRACE lol

Re: Raining again.
Friday night's forecast looks worrying, but hopefully there'll be enough time to deal with it.

Re: Raining again.
I will be travelling up from Devon and Thursday night, really hoping the game is on.
If it is called off, I will be hand-delivering a letter to the club on Saturday relating to their repeated failure to be able to control the weather

Re: Raining again.
It's going straight into The Crown, fifth hand pump on the left, low-alcohol option.

Re: Raining again.
The machine is ready to go, the new drains which are at least twice the size of the old ones are working well, no water gathering in the corner. there will be more machines digging out at the back of the away stands where the clay/soil is higher than the pitch causing the water to run down to the pitch side. so hopefully that will be scraped down tomorrow. it is looking good. The man is delivering all he said he would.

Re: Raining again.
Makes sense Chris, I thought the topography of the pitch doesn't help, almost concaved but all over the place as well like a square crisp. A lot of 1980s higher level pitches to aid drainage had a high point in the middle of the goal a few inches lower on touch lines.
