Cannot fault your optimism, however I can't see Forest Green Rovers going up can you
By the way, any serious roadworks I should be aware of, I will be cutting it close on Monday night

Re: Reason for poor gates?
At the moment not any major roadworks in Accrington but which way you coming in? If you are thinking of using M62/60 DONT come in from Ringway sode but come from Stockport towards Bury not as bad that way. If coming M62 from Leeds big roadworks just before j18 (M66) might be best coming in from Rochdale and using back roads to A56 then follow signs in.

Re: Reason for poor gates?
The road works are about the lanes being made wider not sure if they still in place but they were there about 6 weeks ago and caused some problems. they are about 2 miles from J18 Leeds side of M66. Check with AA www.theaa.co.uk or RAC www.rac.co.uk to see if they still have them on their sites
Both links working just tested them lol

Re: Reason for poor gates?
Well = I have 3 kids myself - 10, 14 and 16. Hubbie used to go to rovers but even their season ticket prices got too much for him. I love footie - strange i know - but it is quite expensive this season for us ALL to go. One son loves chelsea and one loves rovers - guessing game as to what we save up and go to see ? Last season we could manage stanley and we're not fair weather ones - we all love the game.
In addition - disabled toilet facilities at stanley are non existent.

Re: Reason for poor gates?
some quick answers to points raised to avoid accusations from bagpuss about rarely answering posts :-)
bars are a big concern of ours at the moment, firstly the lost revenue from not serving to over half of the stadium, and secondly the fact that the unavailability of beer at the ground detracts from the match day experience. this will be sorted sooner rather than later.
stanley store would be great if we could get bigger premises, could be a stanley megastore then :-) although there is no short term solution to this we will be opening the ticket office section of this from monday, using the window near the main stand turnstiles, which should help to reduce the number of people coming in to pick up press passes and other tickets etc. also we are looking to keep the programme selling outside the store again to free up space for those looking to browse merchandise.
the catering arangement is a great deal for the club, and takes away the issues with ordering stock, dealing with unused stock, employing staff etc. current agreement ends at the end of this season, all tender enquiries welcome...
family stand has been brought up as part of the whole package of making our games more affordable. hopefully we'll have something in place for the rochdale game. will be an area of the main stand with no smoking and zero tolerance on swearing.
if ever a question isn't answered please feel free to get in touch...

You complete and utter ******.. You have taken what I said and repeated it out of context. My original point was that the club couldn't reply to every rumour posted or they would be here all day.. and you then post the above you moron thanks for that... you want a response from rob fair enough.. but to have a dig at me in order to get it is well out of order

Sorry Mariam, got to pick you up on the point about disabled toilet facilities being non existent. You'll find the disabled loo just inside the clubhouse at the other side of the gents. Hope this helps

These roadworks don't affect the traffic on the motorways at all, only the slip road.
I've made the M62/M66 journey several times over the last few weeks (including yesterday) without any holdups. It's bit busy coming out of Leeds around 6pm, but nothing too bad.

Kipax please accept my humble apologies, the post I was refering to was by John Timmins and said "no offense meant but the club do not have to answer things on this un-official message board". I was not in anyway having a dig at you but it was an attempt at some sort of a follow up from the club which Rob Heys has done, cheers Rob.
In future Kipax I will get my facts in order before I post.
